When Andria first asked me to review Artis Henderson’s debut memoir, Unremarried Widow, I was hesitant.

I’d been wanting to read the book for some time, but the cliché is true: that knock on my front door really is my worst nightmare. There’s a dark corner of my mind where that nightmare lives, a place I try my best to avoid, and I knew that to read Henderson’s grief would be to go to that place and stay there for a while. And parts of Henderson’s book were painful to read – I wept when the casualty officers informed her, in standard cold military language, of her husband’s death; when she discovered a video of him among his things that he’d intended to send her before he died; when she took off her wedding ring for the first time. April Fools Day

 April Fools! whats that all about anyways???

Wikipedia say its “April Fools Day is celebrated every year on the first day of April as a day when people play practical jokes and hoaxes on each other. The jokes and their victims are known as “April fools”.” How ridiculous is that? There’s no reason to mess with these peoples heads! As most of you guys know my mother is very very pregnant. I was hoping she was going to have the baby TODAY and make a big joke out of it. But I guess not today! Oh well right?  Have you ever been pranked? Its a good time after its all over, but not while its happening. hahaha!

Does anyone else just LOVE music?

I do, music is my life. I’m not happy unless I’m jamming to some amazing tune. We all have our favorite band or singer. There’s one issue in todays music though. Have you ever been relaxing in the car, going for a drive and want to listen to music? So you turn on the radio but all you hear are songs about someone fucking another person. I don’t speak for all of us but as a worried citizen, our 12 year old children are heading down a rotten path. Clean it up guys, come on. When I was 12 I was outside, build tree forts and eating freezer pops. Now 12 year old girls are using iPhones to take selfies of their ass and twerking on twitter. Stop this guys, for all you 12 year old boys don’t encourage this. We see on the news all the time, 13-4 year old couple are engaged and have a child on the way. How HORRIFIC is that!!!! That poor child!, his/her parents are as smart as she is when she’s born! Come on, clean it up. Parents who are allowing their children to act like this, you need to check your parenting skills. Check yourself before you wreck your self.
